I really felt strongly about the content, history, and message about this movie, so I wanted to create my own poster for it. The symbol for the UFW ( United Farm Workers) is an eagle taken from the Mexican flag, whose wings represent an Aztec pyramid. The emaciated hand symbolizes the hunger strike that ensued during their struggle for civil rights and fair wages. The color palette is representative of the heat that they worked in, as well as the promise of hope...the sun will rise, and so shall we. The text at the bottom is a direct quote from the movie.
